Although the Harry Potter series is known for how well the films stuck to the books or managed to craft and execute a franchise of films that allowed the audience to perfectly follow the story even without key book details, that does not mean that book fans did not miss their favorite character moments or storylines being included in the films. Due to time constraints and an early choice to primarily focus on Harry's journey as the Chosen One, many character details, including Harry's, were left behind to tell the story in what the filmmakers believed was the best way possible. While they may have gotten plenty of elements right, ultimately, fans still craved an on-screen portrayal of their favorite book moments.
