Author Details

Federico is a film critic and writer born between the aisles of VHS-ridden bins. Ever since he was a child, he always put horror above anything else, and even recorded audio plays with a cassette recorder. Writing about films since his early 20s, Federico decided to give it a try, and became a Rotten Tomatoes Approved Critic years ago, as well as an Online Film Critics Society member. He still loves horror and science fiction, like few critics do, and he believes the future of cinema is female and indie.

Industry Focus

Federico is a features/lists writer at MovieWeb, and has been doing this since 2022. His work has been published in Movie Blogger, Film Cred, and Go See Talk.

Favorite Media

Federico's life revolves around cinema. Being an '80s kid means he has devotion to Steven Spielberg, and anything with the Amblin touch. Science fiction and horror are his favorite genres, rocking a few tattoos related to Hitchcock, E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial and Close Encounters of the Third Kind. Chances are if he's part of your team in a movie quiz, and the theme is Movie Classics, you will win.
