Between and around the release of critical darlings like Once Upon a Time in the West (1968) and blockbuster successes like Django Unchained (2012), many western films of this ilk have fallen unfortunately below the public radar. Sure, some of the films on this list may have resonated fondly with pundits of the industry. But for the most part, these westerns should boast far more appreciable name value.
