As quiet as it's kept, fantasy has always been an engaging genre. As the years have progressed, films like Lord of the Rings and shows like Game of Thrones have led to the genre experiencing a newfound appreciation in the mainstream. So much so that reviewers can't help but make a comparison between the contemporary fantasy adventures, the George R.R. Martin novel, and its televised adaptation.
